My name is Fabio Haag, and I believe typefaces should be as expressive as functionality allows. When in doubt, I step towards expressiveness.
I design typefaces since 2006 and spent almost a decade at one of the largest global foundries, based in London, working for some of the world’s most valuable brands and the famous sporting event of 2016, held in Rio de Janeiro. Having grown into many roles up to Deputy Creative Director at a global level, I felt it was time to reconnect myself with the practice and decided to continue my career going solo.
On this new phase I have worked on more than 120 projects together with studios such as Interbrand, FutureBrand, Superunion, Dragon Rouge, Ana Couto and Tátil. My work was featured in the American How magazine, the Spanish Gràffica, the German Page, the UK edition of Digital Arts and in the Eye on Design blog from AIGA – the oldest and largest professional design association in the world.
Amongst my clients are brands such as Amil, Augusto Cury, Bradesco, Cia das Letras, Globoplay, Grupo Boticário, Nextel, SporTV e Votorantim.
